You can waste your life drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them.

Will He Find Out How To Quit It?: John Gibson Mocks Heath Ledger’s Death.

Fox News host John Gibson was callously satirical about the death of actor Heath Ledger, on his radio show.  His show opened with Auditory clips of Ledger’s most famous film, “Brokeback Mountain,” playing with a background of funeral music. He kept on coming back to his death and mockingly related it to the other news.

Like this, apparently Heath Ledger was suicidal and his friends saw it coming. I think he watched the Clinton-Obama debate last night. I think he was an Edwards guy, cause he saw his Edwards guy was just completely irrelevant.

 Listen to this-

Heath Ledger was 28 years old. He was a father, he was a son, he had a family, freinds and fans. Above all he was a human being and no human death should be made fun of. Gibson’s pre planned jocular narrative was heartless.

What is more alarming that he defended it as a joke, explaining that he had long made fun of the “quit you” line and casually said that there was ‘no point in passing up a good joke’.

He finally made an apology on Fox News on the day of Heath Ledger’s service.

A Muslim Girl’s Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr.

A Muslim American Society (MAS) Girl Scout, Anwar Esam Omeish, was nationally recognized on January 21, 2008. She was one of the many who auditioned from across the nation to participate in the Oprah Winfrey Show’s celebration of Martin Luther King Day. Being selected for this honor came as quite a surprise to 11 year old Miss Omeish, a Libyan-American Muslim from Fairfax, Virginia.

Lauren Caitlin Upton made a mistake on national TV and it is only human

Yesterday I posted a video showing a contestant of Miss Teen USA having a tough time in the question and answer segment of the competition. OK so she made a mistake and we all had a good time laughing about it (If you didn’t get to read yesterday’s post click here).

What impressed me was that she was able to laugh at it too. Once again Lauren Caitlin Upton appeared on national television and was not only able to defend herself but got another shot at answering the question. This time she kept Iraq and Africa far away from her answer! That is why today all my empathy is with her. And that is why I have deleted that post.

She is just 18 (come on give her a break). It is the same reason why I don’t think that there should be such under age beauty pageants in the first place. Somebody her age should be attending geography class instead of answering a question about it in a pageant.

Here is her defence-
